Zune 80GB: Full Review

An 80GB Zune out of the box is a thing of the future for now. Elias Eldabbagh has put together a full review of what he thinks of the 80GB Zune, including many photos of the upgrade.

The 80GB Zune is the same size as the 30GB Zune which is different than the iPods. The larger hard drive versions of the iPod are larger than the smaller sizes.

A 30GB Zune holds about 25 full movies, an 80GB Zune holds about 70.

Upgrade your 30GB Zune to 40,60, or 80GB

The Zune battery is the same as the iPod Video 60/80GB battery. Over at ipodmods.com they found a way to upgrade your exsisting 30GB hard drive to a much larger one. Using the new ZIF (zero insertion force) drives from Toshiba, they can fit in place of the 30GB and work perfectly with the Zune.
